The Saskatchewan Music Educators Association is pleased to share the release of our 2024–25 Annual Report, highlighting another meaningful year of supporting and strengthening music education across Saskatchewan.

This year’s report celebrates expanded IDEA-focused professional development, thriving Honour Groups programs, strong advocacy work, and increased access to regional workshops—many of which brought high-quality learning opportunities directly to rural and smaller-centre educators. We are also still seeking applications for five additional regional workshop requests for the coming year.

Members are encouraged to explore the accessibility resources available at www.saskmea.ca, including bucket-drumming kits, boomwhackers, and movement scarves, while supplies last. You can also browse classroom-ready tools and activities on our Teachers Pay Teachers store.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser will be the keynote speaker at the 2025 Multi-Arts Conference, taking place November 13–14, 2025, in Saskatoon, SK.

The full Annual Report—featuring membership trends, financial highlights, program participation data, and strategic priorities—is available here.

Thank you to all SMEA members, volunteers, and partners for your ongoing dedication to music education in our province.
