About the Event

We are thrilled to be hosting this program with Lucas Coffey of https://www.rhythmrhythmrhythm.com/ who will lead us in a two-day immersive training program designed for teachers and youth educators to learn the techniques of facilitating drum circles for youth.


This is a two-day event at Walter Murray Collegiate in Saskatoon on April 12-13 from 9:00am-4:30pm with lunch provided on both days. 


"Would you like to harness the power of drum circles in your classroom? Maybe you like the idea, but  thirty seven-year-olds playing never-ending solos with loud percussion instruments sounds like a great way to ruin your day. Or, a group of hormonal preteens awkwardly staring at you and each other instead of creating rhythms is not so appealing. 


Drum Circles offer a unique opportunity to build a community culture in your classroom and a way to nurture creative and collaborative music makers. But, the way a drum circle is done in a classroom…
